You need to follow the normal instructions for that one, not the old method.

You need to follow the normal instructions for that one, not the old method. I see. I'm hesitant to use the normal method - weren't there boot loop problems at one point? If that's been solved, I'll go through with it, though as I am on a work machine, any downtime will be a negative impact. Update: Just tried it. Got the 1603 error in the installer. Must be because I'm still not on the anniversary update (controller by IT...). Back to Apple's garbage drivers...

probably. these drivers are unlikely to work properly on anything less than anniversary edition.

Hi! I installed the Windows 10 April 2018 on my 5k iMac 2017 with Radeon 580. Since then I have problems with several games, so I decided to try Mat‘s drivers. Is there a recommended driver version for Windows 10 1803, or should I just try the newest driver?

Go for the newest version if you are using the latest version of windows and/or play fortnite.

Im on a 2017 iMac with Radeon 580 pro. Tried both v2 and v3 of the 18.8.1 drivers. Works fine, except it seems like overclocking is broken. The area in msi afterburner settings with amd compatibility settings is also grayed out for some reason. I tried going back to the old drivers, but overclocking is broken with them as well (18.5.2 v4). Im using DDU and following instructions to the point. Tried reinstalling msi afterburner multiple times too. Without wattman and msi afterburner the gpu easily goes up to 100 degrees celcius. Any thoughts on what I could have done wrong?

overclocking is not supported from AMD's side. Unless if I can find a way to override this, then I'm afraid overclocking is not possible. If you want to help reduce the temperatures, consider setting a limit on your FPS to 60. My old R9 M295X easily gets to 100 C during gaming and its still going strong.

Thanks for replying! Its not really overclocking Im after, just wattman so i can control the temperatures, without i easily reach 100c with fans at max, with ensuing throttling =/. With wattman the temps are around 75-80. Possible to put vcore at 950mv etc.

After that nothing works for some reason.

Is it possible for these drivers in the future to prevent the speaker audio from freaking out? I'm using a mac book pro 2018.

This is probably related to poor Apple audio drivers rather than the GPU drivers themselves. A lot of people have invested in a cheap usb audio interfaces to overcome this issue.
