Dear Mat, just downloaded the Bootcamp drivers via the Bootcamp assistant. These are the same old driver (dated 12/12/17), nothing new here. Would have been too good to believe.

I got the same Bootcamp update notification, and it specifically mentioned better GPU performance, along with an Ethernet fix. So it has to be a newer GPU driver. You'd probably have to do a DDU, and reinstall Bootcamp drivers before installing this update. I wonder if this driver update would give us more control over the iMac (Pro) GPU (advanced features like undervolting and overclocking). Probably not, but I'm curious. Has anyone installed this update yet?

The new Apple driver looks encouraging. After running DDU I installed the Apple software update and cod wwii works (which didn’t with the original driver). In device manage the driver date shows as 2/13/2018. I’ll do more testing later when I have time.

It would be good if you could download this package using bootcamp assistant and upload it for me to download and check out. I can then modify newer versions of the PC driver going forward.

Strangley, bootcamp assistent still downloads the old version on my iMac Pro.
Update: Ok, the new Bootcamp version for the iMac Pro is called 6.5. Right now it only updates via Windows Apple Update, not with the Mac OS X Bootcamp Assistant. Driver Version as mentioned above. This is however a major improvement over the original bootcamp drivers from December 2017.
Anyone knows, how to re-download these updates? I searched every place on the bootcamp partition i am aware of, but did not found the update. :-(
FYI: In Far Cry 5 i get 55-60 fps on ULTRA settings in 4K resolution. It seems this driver is based on a late 17.x release maybe. Also, it's nice that my graphic card is called Vega 56 again, and not 580 pro ;-)

Thanks for the update, Henni. How's the GPU temperature with this driver? Any noticeable improvement, or same as before (18.3.4)? Also, are you able to overclock or undervolt the GPU with these drivers? Undervolting could help with the thermals, or get more performance without added heat. Thanks.

I'm getting the same as henni - my download from bootcamp assistant appears to be version 6.1.6900.0.
The good news is that the updated driver works great, and the audio sync/delay issue is resolved.

I'm pretty sure there's a way to access the temporary download files saved by the software update program, though I cannot remember where the directory is.

There is a option for "just download" the update. Unfortunately i did forget to check this option. Maybe someone else with an iMac Pro could set this option and re-download the Bootcamp Update?

Yes, henni's correct. In Apple Software Update:
1. Make sure the update you want to download is checked 2. In the "Tools" menu, select "Download Only" 3. In the "Tools" menu, select "Open Downloaded Updates Folder…" to find the update you just downloaded, which you can then upload for Mat
(I don't have an iMac Pro, or I'd do this myself.)

HI, new here been lurking and have attempted 3 windows driver updates all failing and requiring the reinstall of windows. I am on an imac pro late 2017, base model radeon vega 56. My first question is when selecting what to download, do I get the "windows 10" download, since that is the OS i'm updating? or "the imac pro" download since that is the machine I am on? A user posted about playing pubG which is why I'm interested in this bootcamp. If you've found success can you please tell me what you've done? I am not computer illiterate by any means but im certainly missing something here.... in what seems to be a very well explained and simple read me instructions file.
