I recently purchased a 2017 iMac and I’m very impressed by the incredible performance Mat HD’s graphics drivers provides. One thing I do notice is that Apple’s stock sound card driver doesn’t seem to deliver the same quality of sound from the speakers as in Mac OS. Overall, I’d describe the sound as tinnier, kind of grating to the ears. Some games seem to be too loud and others too quiet. I remember Apple issued bad bootcamp sound drivers in the past that blew out MacBook speakers, so there is precedent for these issues. I realize the iMac speakers themselves aren’t the best in the world, but there is a definite difference in quality between the two OS’s.
I was wondering if anyone else can confirm this issue and whether anyone might know of a better sound driver that corrects the problem. Also, does anyone know if there are settings to change with the existing sound driver to bring it to parity with Mac OS?

I'd look at some EQ software and use it to boost the mid-range, bass and reduce the treble to better match whats going on in macOS.
